TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF AFRICAN CHILDREN THROUGH EDUCATION
The Saint Nektarios Education Fund partners with local communities in African nations to provide education to children in remote villages.
BUILDING SCHOOLS
Through the grace of God and the love of many, the fund has provided over 430 scholarships and several operating grants to schools, distributing over $325,000 to educate needy students. Our current project in Uganda provides additional classrooms for over 450 students. So far we have built four schools in Uganda and one in Kenya with dreams for more.
PARTNERING LOCALLY
The Saint Nektarios Education Fund is based in Colorado and made up of a board of volunteers and like-minded donors from diverse backgrounds. We are committed to working through the local Orthodox Church in each African community, using local workers, teachers, and administrators to provide a quality education to the neediest children in the remotest areas.
EDUCATING
Education is an opportunity to transform one’s life. It is something that can never be taken away. It crosses any border, any religion, and any ethnicity. The Saint Nektarios Fund reaches out to any tribe, ethnic, or religious group, because education develops the human character in a way few things can.
